Walk-in Shower Room

A high-end walk-in shower room rebuilt from the void up, combining structural repair, level-access wet-room construction and carefully considered bathroom detailing.

Rebuilding the structure

The existing floor joists had been compromised by previous rerouted pipework. The floor was strengthened with new joists and hangers, carefully trimmed around the soil stack to create a sound structural base for the new room.

Level-access wet-room floor

A fully tiled level-access wet-room floor was formed with an integrated gully, avoiding a conventional shower tray or raised upstand and creating a clean transition into the shower area.

Considered fittings and furniture

Villeroy & Boch shower fittings were used, with the shower control positioned so the water can be switched on and brought to temperature before entering the shower.

A bespoke Millers of London double-vanity arrangement completes the room and contributes to the high-end hotel-style finish.
